I?m writing to inform the people on Mercer Island of a wonderful senior golf program sponsored by the Parks and Recreation department. This program is for those wanting to play 9 or 18 holes. We depart every Monday (except holidays), April through October, with transportation provided and all tee times and schedules included.
A friend encouraged me to join though I?d never played the game, but at 82+ gathering all my equipment at the Mercer Island Thrift Shop (in case I was a dud), I hadn?t much outlay! I?ve put in eight-plus years. It?s great company, wonderful scenery, great lunches after 9 holes. So come on ? give it a try; you?ll be glad you did. Call 275-7609 and check it out.
