Men's golf team stays in sixth place
Dylan Frittelli and Kramer Hickok carded a pair of even-par 72s and Toni Hakula shot a 73 in the second round of the Southern Highlands Collegiate Masters, and the top-ranked Texas men's golf team remained in sixth place. Frittelli and Hakula are tied for eighth place at 1-under-par 143 while Hickok is tied for 32nd on the leaderboard at 3-over 147. California holds a six-stroke lead over UNLV, and Texas A&M is another shot back.
SWIMMING
Divers earn NCAA berths
Matt Cooper won the platform event and Drew Livingston was second at the NCAA Zone D Diving Meet in Iowa City, Iowa, and earned berths in the NCAA championships next week. Shelby Cullinan and Diana Wilcox also qualified. Cullinan was fourth in the platform and Wilcox finished seventh.
TENNIS
Men's tennis team beats Florida State
The No. 11 Texas men's tennis team dropped the doubles point but produced four singles victories to emerge with a 4-2 win over No. 32 Florida State in Houston. The Longhorns' singles winners were Soren Hess-Olesen, Daniel Whitehead, Sudanwa Sitaram and David Holiner.
BASEBALL
Baseball game rained out; doubleheader today
Saturday night's baseball game against Loyola Marymount was canceled due to inclement weather. The teams will play a doubleheader today starting at noon, with a seven-inning game followed by a nine-inning game.
